Moving items of value

Valuables such as antiques and paintings require special attention. For security and customs purposes, valuable jewellery should never be moved among general household items. Small fragile items need to be carefully and individually wrapped usually in tissue prior to packing into cartons to avoid potential chaffing, chipping or breakage. Polystyrene granules, are then used to fill the void and give the necessary protection. In certain instances overpacking of the cartons can be recommended using larger modules or cases.
